'" As you get older, you have your tribe of women '" As you get older, you have your tribe of women that you grow and age gracefully with and share your wisdom with. That's your clan. That's your family. That's your strength. " ~ Sheryl Crow

Tag someone ( your woman tribe) who you are sharing your life's journey with at the moment. 😍🥰
It may hurt, to even read this. But there is truth It may hurt, to even read this. But there is truth in it.

While reading about White Supremacy in America in the book 'Untamed' written by @glennondoyle, I strongly felt that it's all true in Indian context too.

While a lot of us have been rewarded with our privileged lives, most of us still struggle everyday for basic human rights. And it's not okay.

Waking up to distressing news every single day, makes it hard to look away and go about living our lives.

I am in complete loss of words for the atrocities that every minority group is going through, while I type this from the comfort of my home.

I know, writing about it here with no real work, doesn't help. The real work has to happen within and on the ground 😔.
It’s Friday, Yay !. End of the week. But yet a b It’s Friday, Yay !. End of the week. But yet a busy work day 🙁

But you browse through Instagram or Facebook, anyway 😎

By the end of this post, you would know, why I want you to READ THIS RIGHT NOW.

We are all deeply affected by what's happening around the world. And it isn't entirely possible to block the news out or to UNFEEL.

But are we channelising these emotions in a way, that it doesn’t add to the global anxiety, rather makes a positive impact in our immediate surrounding, however insignificant it may be.

How do we conduct oursleves in our immediate circles ? Are we completely available for them atleast emotionally ?

For me the answer is NO. And I don’t want us to kill ourselves with this answer. Rather make an effort, today, right now, to do things differently than we would have done in an otherwise, routine, mundane set up.

Who is that one person who comes to your mind, when you close your eyes? Go hug them, tell them you love them. Or call or message them right now.

I am half teary eyed, writing this, right now, because these emotions are real. Coming from somewhere deep within, that’s staring at me with innumerable questions. While we go about our lives everyday, do we really take a moment to give back emotionally. Taking care of the house, or working to run the house financially, isnt just enough.

Are we there completely in ?

So I go and give a hug to my husband now, who is working in the other room. You may say, oh don’t be so dramatic. It can be done, right after you finish writing. But no I do it right away. And let's see what it creates.

I was bit by karma or rather let' say reality. I did get a hug, but I was also told that how I behaved not so nicely with him, when he came to me just an hour back, to check on me. I was so engrossed in my work, that I paid no attention. And he didn’t complain. I don’t know in how many more such instances he would have felt this way, though giving me my space anyway. Whatever it is, this isn't good. You would agree. And I can't agree more.

So go hug that person, or write a message or call them. And see what happens. You may share if you want here or on a DM.

Love n Light.
'How are you ? ' How often when we ask this to 'How are you ? '

How often when we ask this to someone, do we really, genuinely intend to hear what they really have to say ?

How often do you feel like sharing beyond ' I am good ' with someone asking you the same ?

Do you think rephrasing it to ' How are you feeling today ?' if we really intend to know and we care, may make any difference to the way we talk to people around us ?

Do you think, there is value in rising above daily ' small talks ' and moving to ' real conversations' that help us grow together ?

So, if you are reading this post, I wanna ask you, how are you feeling today and right now ?

For me, I had a great start to my day, I feel motivated. Much better than how I was feeling a couple of days back. And right now, looking at this yellow bicycle, I am reminiscing , about our travel days, especially this -when we were whiling away our time around this beautiful place at Copenhagen.
All that matters is today. Waiting for the perfe All that matters is today.

Waiting for the perfect moment, isn't wise.

Wisdom lies in embracing the happening of life, in the moment,
That is unfolding dreams, you had once longed for, now coming true.

Past and Future are mere reflections of our thoughts, in the present.
Chasing either, robs us from being.

The mind, never stops enslaving and binding our existence to the routine, to monotony, to the mundane.

It fears, to abandon, the known, to walk away even for a while to experience the unknown.

It fears to surrender to the magic that lies beyond the ego. It feels safe in attachments, however painful and deceiving they are.

Living in the moment is underrated. Because no one talks about it, when we are growing up.

And as we grow up, despite the knowledge and awareness, no one really knows, how to be.

While we seek the answers, the questions shift,
Longing, slips into a shadow of an invisible obsession,
With becoming comfortable in the stories we tell ourselves,
For the happenings, and the unhappenings.

Happy or sad, justifications take precedence over the state of mind itself.

Why is there a need for a reason to be, for everything ?

Why cant we put our minds to rest without trying to make too much sense out of every situation, overanalysing, over hypothesising, over estimating ?

When all we need is to just be.
Today is one of those days when I am wondering at Today is one of those days when I am wondering at the pointlessness of everything.

In a blink of an eye, the year is almost coming to an end. 4 more months to go. Yet it feels like, this is how its gonna be. No matter how much we try to stay away, aloof, indifferent, and consume positivity from everywhere and exude the same, somewhere deep down, we get affected, by the whataboutery of everything.

And the list is long, quite endless. Its unpleasant, distasteful, worrying and plain negative. This is not a rant. But exactly how I am feeling right now - overwhelmed.

And this is my only way to not escape my emotions and feelings, but to live through them, till I get through them - Writing and Nature

If my words find you somewhere in the middle of a similar thought or emotion, I am here. We can talk.

Love and light to you all ❤️
